• Comprehensive examinations of vision and eye health;
• Testing to design a prescription to meet the needs of the individual patient;
• Detailed testing specific for children and for seniors; 
• Specialized examinations for contact lens wearers; 
• Advanced technology, including digital retinal photo-imaging and computerized glaucoma testing;
• Family physician or specialist referrals of untreated general health problems detected;
• Specialist referrals and/or co-management of ocular disease; 
• Cataract evaluation and post-operative followup; and  
• Refractive surgery assessment and co-management.

At Eye Design Optometry we recommend the following frequency of eye examinations:

• Children: annual eye exam
• Adults 19-64: bi-annual eye exam
• Adults 64+: annual eye exam
• Diabetics: annual eye exam
• Others at risk: as determined by your optometrist.
